WHEB Asset Management honoured in B Corp’s ‘Best for World’ List

  • WHEB Asset Management Honoured as Best for Customers
  • Creating Most Positive Impact for Customers
  • Evaluated by Comprehensive B Impact Assessment

4th July 2018, London

For the second year running, WHEB Asset Management has been honoured as ‘Best for Customers’ in B Corp’s ‘Best for World’ List, which was announced last month.

WHEB has been recognised as one of the companies creating the most positive overall impact for its customers based on an independent, comprehensive assessment administered by the non-profit B Lab. Honourees are featured on B the Change, the digital Medium publication produced by B Lab, which can be found here.

To make the list, businesses must have earned a Customer score in the top 10 % of more than 2,500 Certified B Corporations on the B Impact Assessment. The full assessment measures a company’s impact on its workers, community, customers and environment. To certify as B Corporations, companies like WHEB Asset Management must complete the full assessment and have their answers verified by B Lab.

The Customer portion of the B Impact Assessment measures the impact a company has on its customers by focusing on whether a company sells products or services that promote public benefit and if they are targeted toward underserved markets.

The section also measures whether a company’s product or service is designed to solve a social or environmental issue like increasing the flow of capital to purpose-driven enterprises.

Honourees scoring in the top 10 percent set a gold standard for the high impact that business as a force for good can make on consumers around the world. WHEB Asset Management made the list thanks to exceptional practices which are embedded in WHEB’s business mission to advance sustainability and create prosperity through positive impact investments.

George Latham, Managing Partner, said,

“WHEB is proud to be a Certified B Corporation and we are delighted to be honoured in this way for a second year running. With more asset managers becoming B Corps, this growing community is demonstrating the positive impact investment firms can have and their businesses can truly be a force for good.”
