WHEB’s fund in Australia awarded ‘Recommended’ by Lonsec and Impact Calculator launched in Aus $

Wednesday, 21 March 2018: The Pengana WHEB Sustainable Impact Fund has been awarded a ‘Recommended’ rating by Lonsec Research Pty Ltd (‘Lonsec’), one of Australia’s leading ratings agencies.

WHEB’s partnership with Australian firm Pengana Capital Group (ASX: PCG), announced in June last year, has created the Pengana WHEB Sustainable Impact Fund (the Pengana fund), a retail available mirrored fund matching the strategy of the FP WHEB Sustainability Fund in the UK.

On first review by Lonsec since the fund was launched in the Australian market in August 2017, the Pengana fund received a ‘Recommended’ rating in January 2018. The ‘Recommended’ rating indicates that Lonsec has strong conviction the financial product can generate risk adjusted returns in line with relevant objectives and is considered an appropriate entry point to this asset class or strategy. Launch of Impact Calculator in Australian $

Following the success of WHEB’s Impact Calculator, launched last summer in the UK, this innovative tool is now available in Australian $ for investors in the Pengana fund. The calculator allows advisors and intermediaries to show their clients their own personal ‘impact statement’ for their investment in the fund.
For example, $1m (Aus $) invested in the strategy during 2016 helped avoid 938 tonnes of CO2e, diverted 82 tonnes of waste from landfill and treated 11.4m litres of waste water.
